It still spins, but I don't use it.

I also have a 'new' double breasted one, handmade using old traditions by a Danish woodturner during the 80'ies. He's still alive, but he doesn't make wheels anymore. The wheel is called a Riberok (Ribe is a city, rok is spinningwheel)ditmar2013@gmail.comhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11104442076245828656noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5087104108360830079.post-15917197004782620662016-09-02T06:48:55.429-07:002016-09-02T06:48:55.429-07:00I watched a video of your presentation on Feb 2, 2...I watched a video of your presentation on Feb 2, 2016. In that presentation, you show a still shot of thinks to look for to prove a wheel was actually a usable spinning wheel. In the lower left corner is a shot of the front of a Great Wheel, you have the tensioner circled. What caught my eye was the grooves carved into the front of the Great Wheel bench. I recently rescued a Great Wheel from Craigslist that has those same grooves. If you can tell me anything about that particular marking, I'd greatly appreciate it. twinwillowsfarm at gmail dot com.
